Red Meat

Three weeks into the Mediterranean style of eating and I had my first red meat. I have to say, I didn’t miss it as much as I had thought I would, and in fact, didn’t feel too good after eating it.

We decided after working in the yard to go out to eat at the casino in Canyonville, who offers a rib eye steak, baked potato, salad and steamed vegetable for $7.95. We have eaten there several times and never have been disappointed. I don’t know if it is my body used to the plant based diet, or a poorly exectued meal, but It was not all I hoped it would be.

Three weeks in a little over 10 pounds and loving it!
