North Carolina

Posted on

Kids arrived in Raleigh, North Carolina Friday at noon our time. They are pooped from the 4 1/2 days of traveling. They have their stuff and their friend John’s stuff to unload. John’s is in the front of the truck so yesterday they went around town to see what was close by, pick up a few things like a shower curtain, a carbon monoxide detector and some other things that they left behind.

Kailey says the duplex is nice. They got their and the manager had a gift basket for them with bird seed and a feeder. She says the view off the porch is of the hills and the manager likes to keep the wildlife around. The heat is pretty bad and last night it was pouring and thunderstorms. She said there are a lot of things they will need to get used to.

Kailey doesn’t have internet yet. She is going to look next week for a provider and get that taken care of. She will then keep us up to date and put some pictures out there for all of us to see. So keep looking at her blog. http://kaileyharpole.blogspot.com or Rick’s http://rickwingfield.blogspot.com/

About heylaydee

An average cook, an enthusiasm for experimenting and trying new things, is the reason for this blog. That and I found myself in the “empty nest” syndrome and needed an outlet. So I picked up the camera that was collecting dust, got out the pile of recipes, contacted friends and family for their favorites and starting cooking again. What could be better than a glass of wine, a hot stove, and creativity? Come along for the ride. I will be blogging about food, family, and anything else that inspires me.
