Behind The Green Door

Last Friday, my Green Grocer (more on that later) who owns the antique store next to me had some plywood dropped off that the local art students painted an English Garden scene on. He came by to ask if Chris would help him hang the plywood, making two doors out of it to replace the old rickety doors that were there previously.

After Chris hung the doors, the green grocer went all through the main street of town and grab different store owners and drug them to look at the beautiful doors he hung. He was so proud of them.

I had to take a picture of these doors because of all the hub bub by my shop from passerbys that have been kidnapped to look, gawk, and be held captive by his story of how he saved the store front on Main Street. lol

The doors are a big improvement, it is just a hoot to watch the excitement of green grocer as he grabs everyone that walks by

About heylaydee

An average cook, an enthusiasm for experimenting and trying new things, is the reason for this blog. That and I found myself in the “empty nest” syndrome and needed an outlet. So I picked up the camera that was collecting dust, got out the pile of recipes, contacted friends and family for their favorites and starting cooking again. What could be better than a glass of wine, a hot stove, and creativity? Come along for the ride. I will be blogging about food, family, and anything else that inspires me.
